Cabbage Besan curry

 

Cabbage besan curry is a simple curry which tastes great with rice or chapathis.

Ingredients:

  1. Cabbage – 1
  2. Onion – 1(Medium size)
  3. Greenchillies – 4(optional)
  4. Cumin seeds – 1tsp
  5. Chillipowder – 1tsp
  6. Coriander powder -1tsp
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Turmeric powder – 1/4tsp
  9. Besan – 2tsp
  10. Oil – 3tsp

Method:

  • Cut cabbage and onion into finely small pieces.
  • Heat oil in wide bottom pan add cumin seeds and onion pieces.
  • Fry onion till golden brown,add slit green chillies and turmeric powder.
  • To this add finely chopped cabbage and fry till the cabbage is cooked without adding extra water.
  • To this add salt,chillipowder and coriander powder.
  • At the end add besan  and mix well.The curry should be dry enough.(u can add some more besan if required until the curry looks dry).
  • This curry goes well with rice.
