Punugulu/Punukulu is a simple snack which comes in handy when there is left over idli batter or dosa batter.
Coming to the recipe……
- Rice – 2 cups
- Urad dal – 1cup
- Onions – 2 medium
- Green chillies – 4
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep frying
- Soak rice and urad dal for 6 hrs and grind it to a smooth thick batter.
- Add salt,chopped onions,green chillies to this batter.
- Heat oil in deep pan.
- Take a tsp of batter and drop it into the hot oil.
- Fry until golden brown and eat hot with any chutney or tomato sauce.
U can also make these punukulu with left over Idli/Dosa batter.
