Radish ,i never knew the red ones would taste so good until i tried cooking with all combinations of indian spices. Try this recipe very simple one,the kids will definitely love it and its healthy too.
- Red radish – 12
- Moong dal – 1cup
- Green chillies – 3
- Turmeric – 1/2tsp
- Ginger – 1″ inch
- Cumin seeds – 1tsp
- Mustard seeds – 1tsp
- Curry leaves – few
- Asafoetida – pinch
- Oil – 2tsp
- Soak moong dal for half an hr in a cup of water.
- Peel and boil the radish in 2cups of water in a cooking pot along with turmeric till they are soft.
- Heat oil in a pan ,add the seasoning ingredients , after the mustard starts spluttering add green chillies,ginger pieces, boiled radish ,soaked moong dal and salt and cook for another 10 min stirring in between.
- This curry goes well with plain rice and rasam.
