Rava idli ,instant breakfast variety with a blend of carrots and Indian spices is very easy and quick to make.
Ingredients:

Semolina/Rava - 1cup

Semya - 1/2cup
-
Carrot grated - 1/2cup
-
Onion - 1(small) [Optional]
-
Curds - 2cups
-
Coriander leaves - 2tsp
-
Curry leaves - few
-
Ginger - small piece
-
Oil - 1tsp
-
Salt to taste
Seasoning ingredients:
-
Urad dal - 1tsp
-
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
-
Cumin seeds - 1/4tsp
-
Oil
Method:
-
Dry fry semolina till light brown and keep aside.

Also fry semya in little oil till crispy and keep aside.

Now add semolina and semya to curds by adding salt and leave it for 30min.

Just before making idlis add the remaining ingredients along with seasoning and mix well in the batter.

Cook in the idli cooker as regular idlis and serve hot with any chutney of your choice.

Besan chutney goes well with Rava idlis.
Note:
These idlis might take approximately 20 min to cook.

This is another combination with Macaroni ,corn and vegetables.The combination of macaroni with vegetables is a good lunch box variety for kids.Give it a try!
Ingredients:
- Macaroni - 1cup
- Carrot - 2
- Capsicum - 2(medium)
- Boiled corn- 1/4cup
- Green chillies - 3
- Onions - 1(medium)
- Grated cheese - 1/4cup
- Coriander leaves - 3tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil - 2tsp
Method:
- Boil Macaroni with salt and 1 tsp of oil in 5 cups of water.Remove them from heat and transfer macaroni to cold water and then strain.This avoids macaroni from sticking to each other.
- Finely chop onions,capsicum,carrots and green chillies.
- Heat 2 tsp of oil in a pan,add onions saute till golden brown,to this add capsicum, carrot,green chillies and cook till capsicum and carrot are soft.

- Now add boiled corn,chopped coriander leaves , salt and mix well.
- Finally add boiled macaroni and mix well.

- Garnish with cheese and tomato sauce and serve.
