Brussels sprouts curry

 

   

Brussels sprouts ,tastes similar to cabbage and this vegetable tastes good with a combination of vegetables like beans,potato etc.

Ingredients:

  1. Brussels sprouts – 8
  2. French beans – 1 cup
  3. Coriander powder – 1tsp
  4. Red chillipowder – 1tsp
  5. Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
  6. Shredded coconut – 2tsp
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Oil – 2tsp

For seasoning:

  1. Chana dal – 1tsp
  2. Urad dal – 1tsp
  3. Mustard seeds – 1tsp
  4. Curry leaves – few

Method:

  • Wash and finely cut the brussels sprouts  and beans into small pieces and boil them in a cooking pot by adding a tsp of turmeric powder.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add the seasoning ingredients.After the mustard starts spluttering add the boiled vegetables ,mix well ,add salt,coriander powder and shredded coconut and cook for 10 min.
  • This tastes good with chapathis or rice.
