Puri is puffed whole wheat bread. These breads range from naan, paratha, chapati, pulka or the puri.
Ingredients:
- Wheat flour - 3 cups
- Oil - 3 tbsp for kneading
- Salt and Water
- and also Oil for deep frying
Method:
- Take wheat flour in a bowl, mix it with salt, make a well at the centre and add 2-3 tbsp of oil and knead the dough using water until smooth.
- Set it aside until half an hour, which allows the dough to absorb the water and kneading.
Meanwhile start heating oil in a deep kadai. Make small walnut size balls and roll out each ball just like a chapati/tortilla but smaller in size.
